TaxFern grew out of years of hands-on work preparing US tax returns and keeping the books for founders running lean, ambitious companies. Along the way one thing kept coming up: clients didn't just want a filing — they wanted a partner who understood their business and answered the phone.

So that's what we built. A remote-first practice serving clients across the United States and the United Kingdom, combining 3+ years in US tax preparation and 4+ years in bookkeeping with genuine care for getting the details right.
